Sam Rosenberg

Director of Legal Affairs

Building upon his experiences in healthcare, litigation, and risk management, Sam provides valuable legal counsel to CPF’s partners, staff, and entities.  Sam is responsible for developing CPF’s legal strategies, providing legal oversight and identifying efficiencies. 
Prior to joining CPF, Sam held positions with both national and boutique law firms and is a former prosecutor.  Sam has litigated cases throughout the country, and has been involved in over fifty bench and jury trials. He has experience in all phases of trial and appellate practice in complex commercial and tort litigation matters. His prior cases have involved breach of contract, fraud, insurance coverage, class action, professional liability, health care, labor and product liability issues.
He is a former felony prosecutor, having worked with the Champaign County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. Sam ran for the Illinois General Assembly in 2014.
He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago, and his juris doctor from the University of Illinois.   Sam is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Litigation Counsel of America, Lyric Opera Young Professionals, and the University of Chicago, Alumni Club of Chicago.
